Space and Environment - Cinematic Spaces

The book I have been allocated for this project is 'The Time Machine' by H.G Wells, published in 1895.

Using the excerpts from chapters 3, 4, 6 and 8 below, I have been given the task of creating 3 full concept paintings relating to the space and environment described in this book. I am not merely illustrating the book, I am designing my own world using the descriptive elements in the book to inspire me. I have highlighted these elements in the excerpts to help me with my developmental thumbnails. As well as this, to help me I will be doing a few influence maps as well.

  1. Hey Alex :)

Brilliant - and The Time Machine - classic stuff. Good to see these extracts all prepped and ready for thumbnailing...

  2. It is a great story and I'm really attached to it! There are good descriptive elements that I can use. I have started my influence maps as well as extensive research and should be ready to start thumbnailing shortly :)
